Can you give me any information about this bed?

Can you please give me any information about this bed? It is believed to be over 100 years old, but I can’t find any info on it.

    I would think that there would have been a canopy on the top of the posts, as there are metal dowels fixed in the top to locate the canopy. Stephen Edwards.
